To further deepen the integration of education, research, and industry, and to discuss new models of collaboration between the school and local areas, on July 12, 2024, Fu Shi Lun, the Party Committee Secretary of the Business School, led a delegation to Bohai Town, Huairou District, Beijing for research and exchange. Professor Shi Jinlian, Dean of the Institute of Culture and Tourism Development and a member of the Haidian District Political Consultative Conference, Associate Professor Zheng Yao Min, Deputy Director of the Business School's Education and Training Center and Deputy Dean of the Institute of Culture and Tourism Development, Professor Yang Jingjing from the Business School, Liu Changquan, a member of the organizational committee, Liu Zhuo, Director of the Office, and Wang Luyang, a full-time counselor for employment work, participated in the research. Liu Minghuan, a standing committee member of the Huairou District Party Committee and Minister of Organization, Bo Mingxin, Deputy Minister, G ao Ningbo, Secretary of the Party Committee of Bohai Town, and Liu Jinbo, Mayor of Bohai Town, and others received the school's research team.
In the morning, the research team visited Sidu River Village (innovation and entrepreneurship office area, "Childhood Harbor" and Laomujiang Homestay), Liudu River Village (homestay laundry professional service chain, Caolihuaxigou Cultural and Creative Market), Beigou Village (village history museum, Wachang Hotel), and Dongtai Village (Jinglin·Lvlin Resort Hotel).
In the afternoon, the research team held a symposium with Liu Jinbo, Mayor of Bohai Town, Wang Wenjun, Chairman of the People's Congress, Huang Ying, Organizational Committee Member, and heads of departments related to culture and tourism at the town's people's government, discussing the promotion of practical cooperation between schools and enterprises by using Bohai Town's rural boutique homestays as training bases.
During the exchange session, both parties, in line with the development positioning of Bohai Town, the current status of homestays, and future plans to "expand the Great Wall culture, make friends through the city, and support think tanks," had in-depth discussions on the content of party building leading rural revitalization. They also actively discussed the requirements proposed by Minister Liu Minghuan that the high-quality development of homestays in Bohai Town must follow the path of "internationalization, branding, and culture." The school's research team actively responded to the issues and demands of Bohai Town with the "three promotions" approach of "party building leads to industrial development, think tank construction leads to brand enhancement, and the integration of culture and tourism promotes innovation and entrepreneurship." Both parties unanimously believed that the successful conduct of this joint research activity has built a bridge of communication between the Business School of Beijing Technology and Business University and Bohai Town. In the future, they will continue to deepen exchanges and cooperation in building a practice education base for the Business School, upgrading the Bohai Play Turn Small Program, and creating a think tank for rural revitalization talents.
